Marcessa began her career in HR while still in college at Belmont, where she worked as the HR and office manager at her father’s insurance agency. She then expanded her expertise as a litigation specialist for large commercial insurance carriers. With over 20 years of experience, Marcessa has specialized in talent acquisition, employee relations, LMS design, adult learning, litigation, and industrial organization.

As the Director of HR at BCR, Marcessa has overseen the transformation of the HR department from a 100% paper-based system to a mostly paperless one, including the successful implementation of Paylocity HRIS. Her role ensures that HR remains a trusted advisor to the company, fostering employee retention and growth. Marcessa has been with BCR for 2.5 years.

Outside of work, Marcessa is passionate about spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys watching football, lacrosse—especially as her son excels in both—and F1 racing.
